Choral Evensong at Bath Abbey on Sunday 9th March marking Commonwealth Day

Mr Mohammed Saddiq, His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset, attended a service of Choral Evensong at Bath Abbey on Sunday 9th March marking Commonwealth Day.

The service was also attended by the Deputy Lieutenants, the Mayor of Bath, and the Chair, Vice Chair and members of the Royal Commonwealth Society, Bath and District branch.

The Commonwealth affirmations were read by students from the University of Bath, Norland College and Kingswood School.

The Bath Abbey choirs of Girls and Lay Clerks and the Abbey’s youngest choir, the Melody Makers, sang at the service and afterwards posed for a photograph together with Jeremy Key-Pugh, who led the service, Huw Williams, Director of Music and David Babb and Andrew Bragg, Churchwardens.
